Life throws us highs and lows... and curveballs

I tend to look at life like the game of baseball. What might happen in the first inning dictates how we handle the ninth. Life throws us highs and lows... and curveballs. It's what we do with them that determine the outcome. This is how we learn. My personal life and Major League Baseball career has been abundant with these extremes and lessons.

Since retiring from baseball in 1994, I have walked many paths and experienced more than a few peaks and valleys. My current involvement with underserved sectors of the community has taught me valuable life lessons that, incorporated with my years of experience on the ball field, provide the perspective I draw upon for speaking engagements and team building events.

I was fortunate enough to have baseball to teach me the values relative to success. The sport gifted me with leadership and team building skills that translate in a relatable way in the corporate world. Memorable and entertaining; my "on the field" stories of success and failure incorporated with the "off the field" wisdom gained in the experience, serve to instill the inspiration and perseverance to take your team to the next level.
