Willie Wilson reached a club-record


It was 29 years ago today -- Sept. 23, 1980 -- that Willie Wilson reached a club-record 216 hits by going three for four in a 7-3 loss at Seattle. Wilson broke the record of 215 by George Brett in 1976. Wilson finished with 230 hits, which remains the club record.
