posted on 10/16/2009 | | Kansas City, KC Posted by Dr. Jeremy Fry - Yesterday, we were very lucky to have Kansas City Royals Great, Willie Wilson, stop by the office from 2-5p and sign autographs and meet patients and people from the community. I remember watching Willie as a kid…back when the Royals were awesome! He played like no center fielder we’ve had since. |

posted on 8/22/2009 | | Willie Wilson never got to say a proper goodbye to Kansas City. Until Saturday, that is, when he started in center field and led off for the T-Bones after signing a one-day contract.
A beloved and central figure on the Royals’ 1985 World Series championship team, Wilson spent his first 15 seasons in Kansas City from 1976 to 1990 before wrapping up a 19-year career with the Oakland A’s and Chicago Cubs.
Local baseball fans showered Wilson, the Royals’ all-time leader in steals, with cheers and gave him several standing ovations during the T-Bones’ 3-2 victory over the Joliet JackHammers at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

What was a bit odd was that the seats are empty, the field was bare and the doctor was in. By the end of the day, dentists saw more than 250 children at Miller Park. They got treatment, screening and dental health education. It was about $240,000 worth of care at no cost. |

by Stan Goff, Executive Editor
When times get tough, it’s often much more difficult to find enough support to help causes that count heavily on donations and volunteer efforts.
But that is not the case with TeamSmile, a non-profit organization that plans to expand this year and help as many needy children get dental care as it can. TeamSmile, a dental outreach and flagship program of Henry Schein Cares, kicked off the 2009 calendar year with an event tied to college football’s East-West Shrine Game in Houston back in January.
